Walking alongside you through life’s hardest seasons — with kindness, presence, and care.

About Emma

Welcome, I’m Emma, an accredited social worker (BSW) with extensive clinical experience
in providing grief counselling and bereavement care to people experiencing all forms of loss.

Kindred Grief and Bereavement Care is a safe space where we can have
honest conversations about life, love and loss. As a kindred griever, I bring my lived
experience of childhood sibling loss, including my intrinsic understanding of the enduring
nature of love, loss and grief.

Alongside Kindred, I currently provide grief and bereavement care and support to parents, carers and children within a paediatric palliative healthcare setting.

In supporting people at times of trauma and loss, I bring a professional skill set that includes
trauma informed care, Polyvagal Theory (PT), Somatic experiencing (SE), Compassionate
Enquiry (CE) and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT). I recognise that grief is an
emotional, physical, social and spiritual wounding that requires a holistic approach to
healing.

Loss deepens your awareness of impermanence and your experience of the world. We will
work together not to ‘fix’ your grief, but to help you to sit with it; make space for it and to help you tend to your new reality with self-compassion and care.

We will also explore how grief settles into your body and we will work together to introduce
somatic practices that allow you to connect to the wisdom of your body for rest, release and renewal.

The Property

Join me at my home at Mt Glorious (38 km from Brisbane), where you will be surrounded by the beautiful rainforest and ranges of the D’Aguilar National Park.

This environment calms the nervous system and invites you to rest, settle and soften in the presence of the natural world. In winter, join me in front of the fireplace with a warming cup of tea. If you are unable to attend in person, all sessions are available online via Zoom.

Ready to take the next step?

There is no guidebook for loss, but compassionate support can make the journey feel less
overwhelming. Together we can explore what you or your family need — gently, at your own
pace, and always with genuine presence, skill and gentle care.
