Services

Walking alongside you through life’s hardest seasons — with kindness, presence, and care.

Individual Grief Counselling

In our sessions together I will help you to navigate the emotional, social, spiritual and physical impact of loss. I will provide a safe, compassionate space for you to express feelings such as sadness, anger, guilt, confusion, or numbness—without judgment. I will help you to understand your unique grief journey, honour your relationship with who or what has been lost, and help you to find ways to cope and adapt to life before or after your loss. Using a gentle and reflective approach, we will prioritise presence over problem solving.

Immediate after death support session

This service is for individuals, who require immediate support in the aftermath of a crisis, highly stressful event or a death. Utilising Psychological First Aid (PFA) I will work with you to reduce your initial distress, help you to identify your immediate needs and to support your function. This may include referrals to additional services as required.

Care Planning Session

When an individual or their loved one faces a life-limiting condition, conversations regarding end-of-life care can be challenging.

I can work with you or a loved one to ensure that your goals for care reflect your unique emotional, spiritual, social and cultural needs. Together we can tailor a plan that honours your wishes for your care throughout your illness or at the end of your life.

Children have unique needs that will vary depending on their age and developmental stage. If you are a parent or caregiver to a child with a life limiting illness, I can help you to develop a care plan that includes and reflects the wishes of your child.

Grief Education

Designed for parents, caregivers, organisations and communities, this training aims to build your understanding of the diverse experiences of loss and grief, while helping you to respond to someone who is grieving with increased confidence, empathy and clarity.

Education sessions can be tailored to support people of all ages, including children and young people. Please note for groups of two or more attendees a consultancy fee will apply.

Pet Loss

Pet loss is a real and significant form of grief that can be as intense as losing a human loved one. Companion animals become part of our families, and daily lives and their loss can leave profound and significant void. Often the importance of pet loss is not recognised, leading to an experience of grief that Is not recognised. It is for this reason that all Kindred offerings are available to pet parents who are either anticipating or who have experienced the loss of a cherished pet.
